Library Accreditation
November 17th, 2006 — librarianAt the November 15 Board meeting, Mickey Coalwell, Northeast Kansas Library System, presented President Janet Hofmeister with an Accreditation Plaque, certifying that the Tonganoxie Public Library is a Level I Major Service Center. A Major Service Center Library at this level has up-to-date library resources, including a public meeting room, service programs, extended hours of operation and a professionally trained library administrator. Other innovations at the Library that helped us achieve this goal include: remote access to the online catalog with NExpress, adding staff, and providing public access to the Internet on at least 10 computers with a bandwidth of 768k. We would like to thank the Community for supporting the Library and allowing us to grow our staff and services.
