Make a Splash! and dive right in to the Summer Reading Program here at the Library!
Registration starts on Tuesday May 18 here at the library. Our kids theme is “Make a Splash” and the Teen theme is “Make Waves”.
We’ve invited Dennis Porter and Happy Faces Entertainment back this year for our Kick-off on June 1 and for our Closing Carnival on July 24. We hope to see you here for a lot of fun!
- Fun crafts! Something new each week for ages 0-5, 5-8, and 9-12.
- Great performers!
- Joyce Slater and Cynthia Ziesman are back for ages 0-5
- JoHo Storyteller will be here for ages 5-8
- The Mad Scientists of Kansas City will do a workshop for ages 9-12
- Movies and popcorn! Every Friday, come with your sack lunch and see a great movie.
Last year, we had 200 kids sign up for Summer Reading. Let’s see if we can beat that this year.
Read books to add to your reading record, and bring it in to get prizes when it’s half done and all the way done. We’ve got great prizes this year, so come and claim them!
