With Mrs. Holloway and the Recreation Commission, we are co-sponsoring an online book discussion group this summer: Blog-a-Book (http://blogabook.wordpress.com/).  Check out the reading list, sign up at the Rec, check out a book and start reading.  We’ll have the discussion online.  (Psst: If you are 14 and read four books through this program, I’d say you qualify for a coveted Second Chance Adult Summer Reading mug.)

Ready to show your support for the Friends of the Library in a way that is healthy and fun?  Take part in the 20th Annual Tonganoxie Days Library Run.  You can choose the 10K or 5K run, or a 5K walk.  Registration forms are available at the Library or you can register online at Active.com.

Past events co-sponsored by the Library and the Rec include:  Preschool craft time and parties, Halloween Party, Teen Cafe, Blog-a-Book, Pool parties, Summer Reading and Teen Battle of the Bands, to name just a few.

why not become our friend?  We post updates on Teen activities on the Library’s MySpace.  All of the Library’s vital information is there: hours, a link to the NExpress online catalog, a link to the Teen page (with all of that School Stuff), and Chat Reference info.
