Friday, April 27 - The Library will be CLOSED for staff in-service.  We will spend the morning at the Bonner Springs Library learning about reader’s advisory (learning how to find good books for you to read when you ask us for suggestions) and doing computer training here in the afternoon.

Tutor.com has just announced that HomeworkKansas, the statewide after-school service that connects a student with a professional tutor, online,  is now available to Mac users.  Students using Safari or Firefox (2.0 or higher) browsers on Mac OS X can now connect to an expert tutor seven days a week for the help they need.

Tonganoxie Public Library is accepting applications for the part-time position of Programming Assistant. Primary duties include planning and providing programming and instruction for library customers of all ages. Responsibilities also include providing quality circulation and reference services to patrons in person and by phone. Applicants must have good computer and communication skills and the ability to work with the public in a professional manner. Experience working with children preferred. Library experience and/or some college is preferred but not required. Position works 20 hours per week, including evening hours and Saturdays at $10.00/hr.  Applications available at the Tonganoxie Public Library, 303 S.
