NExpress Catalog seems to be working…off and on

As of 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, the NExpress catalog is maybe available (off and on).  The Consortium staff are working with Sirsi, the company responsible for our catalog software, to diagnose and fix this unexpected crash.  The NExpress catalog button will stay active, but we can not guarantee that it will take you to the catalog.  Please keep trying.

I’d like to share the most recent word we’ve received from the Executive Director of the Kansas City Library Consortium, Debbie Siragusa:

We would like to apologize for the extended unplanned downtime of the system. We are diligently working with SIRSI to get us up and operating and we hope to be functioning by early tomorrow. We are in touch with their senior management and they are aware of the seriousness of the situation.
Due to the unstableness of the current system we will not be moving forward with the upgrade as planned. At this time there are so many uncertainties about the cause of the problem.
